Rachel Kohn, MT-BC
With a lifelong connection to music, I bring a deep passion and intuitive understanding to my work as a musician, educator, fellow traveler, and music therapist. Since 2019, I’ve been practicing music therapy and leading folx with challenges through musical journeys with a focus on healing, empowerment, and personal growth. My primary instruments—piano, guitar, voice, flute and music technology—serve as powerful tools to help me reach people on deeper levels.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy from Montclair State University and am currently pursuing my Master of Social Work (MSW) at the University of Connecticut, with the goal of becoming a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). My practice is rooted in compassion and social justice. I’m a committed ally to all marginalized communities, with a special focus on supporting LGBTQIA2S+ individuals and those with histories of trauma.
Guided by a deep interest in spirituality, I strive to create a safe space that honors each person’s unique journey. My mission is to support others and connect with them authentically as we build a musical relationship together.
